2023 Plus-Size Wedding Dress Trends for Curvy Brides-to-Be
Looking for some unique 2023 bridal trends to spice up your plus-size wedding dress adventure? We’ve been watching the runways, and are happy to say that there are plenty of fun and versatile trends that are totally inclusive.
It seems that the one significant theme with this year’s bridal scene is that designers are steering away from tradition and going bold with contemporary, designs that embrace change.
That’s huge news for curvy gals who tend to have a challenging time finding plus-size bridal options (but not at Curve!)

Ballgowns Galore
One thing we noticed on the runways was a lack of A-line skirts and instead, a voluptuous feast of full, flowing ballgowns!
While this is a classic silhouette, it comes and goes as a trend, and in 2023 it’s back and it’s ballin’ hard. This is a stunning statement look for curvy brides, as it cinches the waist and allows you to get creative with embellishments and necklines.
Go with a plunging sweetheart neckline that adds sultry to the mix or adorn your skirt with larger than life 3D floral motifs or large embellishments- another 2023 trend we’ve been seeing a lot of lately.
Blue is the Warmest Color
You might have your heart set on a particular plus-size wedding gown, but want to change it in a way that makes it unique and modern. One easy option is to pick a different color other than white.
This year, blue was a banger on the bridal runways, a refreshing change from the pinks and pastels of years past. It might be difficult to wrap your head around blue at first, but dare to go deep with your dreaming. Think of silver satiny blues or the lightest sky blue fabrics accompanied by large cherry blossom motifs- like a Japanese nature scene.
Mock Neck
Finally, a conservative yet undoubtedly sexy trend on the bridal scene for 2023 is the mock neck. It’s a subtle way to bring attention to your curves, the curves of your neck and shoulders, that is.
Mock necks can be worn with long sleeves or short sleeves (we love an adorable cap sleeve with a mock neck). And, all because you go mock doesn’t mean you have to cover your skin. Other 2023 trends include sheer fabric that shamelessly gives a peek at what's underneath, so you can play around with lace, flowy sheer chiffon, or beads.
